TÜV SÜD Rail acquires 100 per cent of shares in Railcert B. V.

TÜV SÜD Rail has increased its shareholding in Railcert B.V. from 50 to 100 per cent.

Railcert is a provider of testing and certification services for the rail industry that TÜV SÜD Rail founded together with the Movares Group in 1999, The acquisition underlines TÜV SÜD Rail's leading role as a partner in international rail projects.

TÜV SÜD as global partner to the lift industry

As the requirements of lift operators and users become increasingly complex, lift and component manufacturers are faced with the challenge of introducing innovative products to create distinctive profiles for their brands. TÜV SÜD supports its worldwide customers in this process. Jürgen Merz is new Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH

Twin leadership for TÜV SÜD Akademie: with effect from 1 September 2013, Jürgen Merz has been appointed Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH and will join its other Managing Director, Jörg Schemat, in overseeing the Academy's business operations. In addition to this new position, the 53-year-old psychology graduate will continue in his role as Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Pluspunkt GmbH.
