TÜV SÜD acquires ZACTA Technology Corporation in Japan

TÜV SÜD, one of the world’s leading providers of testing, auditing, inspection and certification, training and consultancy services, has acquired ZACTA Technology Corporation (ZACTA) in Japan. This acqusition supports TÜV SÜD’s international growth strategy, expanding its capabilities in the fields of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Telecommunications testing.

Singapore aims to learn from TÜV SÜD

TÜV SÜD's expertise is in worldwide demand – including on the issue of further education. Two representatives from the Singapore government organization e2i visited TÜV SÜD Academy in Munich to inform themselves about current trends and developments in continuing vocational education and training. The discussions centred on the issue of what education and training measures can be implemented successfully in Singapore. "We have already been working closely with TÜV SÜD PSB Learning in Singapore", says Khim Geok NG from e2i, who plans to expand the cooperation.

TÜV SÜD invites fleet managers to a roadshow staged in football stadiums 
It's a game of two halves, it's all about getting the ball in the back of the net, it's a funny old game – in 2012, football wisdom will make way for innovative fleet management at a series of one-day events held in the Allianz Arena, the Veltins Arena, the Berlin Olympic Stadium and Hamburg's Millerntor-Stadium. As part of a roadshow in April and May, the TÜV SÜD subsidiary FleetCompany team will literally do its talking on the pitch, inviting fleet managers to a specialist symposium focusing on vehicle owner liability and driver safety. TÜV SÜD: FleetCompany and Fleet Logistics continue to expand fleet business


The TÜV SÜD subsidiary FleetCompany significantly expanded its fleet business throughout all product sectors in 2011. The total number of managed vehicles in Germany alone rose by 36 per cent to over 34,000, with particular expansion in claims management as a product.
"This sector combines an array of TÜV SÜD's core competences into a reliable and rapid process", explains Roland Vogt, CEO of FleetCompany. "From damage assessment to invoice review by experienced workshop experts, we complete the package by adding FleetCompany's high service standards." For example, the incoming claims department has a 24-hour standby service and assigns vehicles to a network of selected and certified bodywork shops. The scope of service also covers all dealings with insurance companies. For insurers, on the other hand, TÜV SÜD's quality standard establishes an important basis for confidence in the partnership.

TÜV SÜD now provides ISCC certification throughout Europe


TÜV SÜD has signed the contract with ISCC on the ISCC-EU standard. Based on this contract, certificates issued by TÜV SÜD are now recognized in all EU Member States without further audits. This benefits international biofuel producers, processors and suppliers.
The ISCC EU certification is based on the EU Directive 2009/28/EC on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources.

TÜV SÜD wins another contract from Open Grid Europe

Open Grid Europe GmbH (OGE) commissioned TÜV SÜD to provide quality assurance for a new gas pipeline. The pipeline connecting Sannerz and Rimpar is part of the European natural gas pipeline system. Recently, TÜV SÜD also won the contract to provide the quality assurance for the MEGAL route between Schwandorf and Windberg.
