Implementing new directives and standards in practice

The Medical Devices Directive (MDD) is currently undergoing comprehensive revision by the European Commission.At MEDICA 2012 (Hall 10, Stand B05) TÜV SÜD will inform medical devices manufacturers of how the changes will affect the harmonized standards and how requirements can be implemented in practice.The MEDICA trade fair will take place in Duesseldorf between 14 and 17 November.

TÜV SÜD: Vehicle fleets prove that alternative drive systems are suitable for everyday use

TÜV SÜD provides high-voltage training to Bosch employees worldwide

TÜV SÜD Akademie will provide training worldwide to all Bosch employees who work on or near high-voltage systems. Following a call for tender, Bosch decided in favour of TÜV SÜD Akademie. The training provided to the Bosch employees will be based on the strict German safety regulations (BGI 8686 and BGR A3). TÜV SÜD Akademie has also designed special seminars for members of staff involved in battery assembly. The first training courses in Germany and China are already under way, and further training courses will shortly be launched in various countries including the UK, USA, India and Japan.

TÜV SÜD stands for safety in industrial automation

Safety and reliability in industrial automation – at the SPS/IPC/Drives in Nuremberg from 27 to 29 November 2012, TÜV SÜD will showcase its range of services extending from Limited Product Certification of individual machines and components or Panel Shop certification to the protection of IT systems against cyber attacks, sabotage and espionage. Marking a premiere, TÜV SÜD will present its "IEC 61850" and "Embedded Systems – Safety & Security" certificates at the trade fair (Hall 4, stand 4–521).
