TÜV SÜD strengthens EV Battery Testing
Capability with new acquisition of Innovative
Testing Solutions

TÜV SÜD Canada, part of the global TÜV SÜD testing and certification organisation, announces the acquisition of Innovative Testing Solutions (ITS). ITS is a diversified and experienced testing laboratory, with ISO/IEC 17025 A2LA accreditation, and provides testing of batteries and electrical components, along with environmental and mechanical life cycle testing.
Battery testing facilities within the 21,000 square foot, climate controlled ITS lab provide abuse, durability, and life cycle testing of battery cells, modules, and packs. The combined talent and experience of the ITS and TÜV SÜD teams are available to support e-mobility projects, assisting with test equipment and controls development, test planning, data acquisition, testing, and certification.
"We are committed to providing the best battery and mechanical testing services possible to our customers. We are confident that the integrated resources will provide our customers with unique benefits in the area of large format battery testing and allow us a substantial growth opportunity globally," stated Darryl Fleger, President of Innovative Testing Solutions.
