TÜV SÜD: Those Who Measure CO2 Output Also Strive to Reduce It

Valid measurements of CO2 emissions are a key prerequisite for the reduction of greenhouse gas. The key focus is hereby on the "carbon footprint." Information about the carbon footprint is now being demanded of many products and services – including transportation services. In Germany as well, there is growing public discourse on the disclosure of CO2 emissions in the logistics sector. In the view of the TÜV SÜD experts though, too little progress has been made in these discussions. Great Britain and France, in contrast, have introduced measures to require companies to submit data on their CO2 footprint next year already. The topic of carbon footprints will be one of the key themes at this year's IAA for commercial vehicles, to be held September 20 to 27 in Hanover, Germany. This is the first appearance of TÜV SÜD at this IAA tradeshow.
