TÜV SÜD Product Service invests in Garching

  

TÜV SÜD continues to expand its activities at Garching. TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH is investing around 15 million euros in the construction of a new testing laboratory for consumer products, the foundation stone for which will be laid on 27 October 2010. In view of the global competition among testing laboratories, this is a clear commitment to Germany as a base for TÜV SÜD's testing operations. Only two weeks ago, Garching-based TÜV SÜD Batterie Testing GmbH opened a new laboratory for battery testing.

"The construction of our new product testing laboratory in Garching will further improve our capacities in consumer product testing", says Joachim Birnthaler, CEO of TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH, at the foundation stone ceremony.
