e-miglia 2012: "Tighter time specifications made the rally even tougher"

The two TÜV SÜD teams that entered in the 2012 e-miglia achieved great results – with a little support from the Chinese. They took second and third places in the world's most challenging rally for electric vehicles, crossing the finishing line yesterday in the Swiss city of St. Moritz. The results deliver clear proof that the TÜV SÜD engineers are thoroughly familiar with the ins and outs of e-mobility. The winners of the 2012 e-miglia were Team Haslreiter / LG Solar – and electromobility itself. The 20 competing teams mastered the tougher conditions in the e-miglia, now in its third year, with flying colours. As Louise Zhu from TÜV SÜD's battery test laboratory in China commented, "It's very impressive to see how the vehicles handle the tour so well."
