For most of us, taking the car to work, shopping or on holiday is an everyday occurrence. While there were only 71 private cars for every 1000 people in the West Germany of the 1960s, that figure has today risen to 500. But even though driving is now part of our daily routines, there are still many situations in which care is imperative.
