Can a Med Certificate help me outside the EU?

Yes. Both the US Coastguard and Transport Canada recognise MED Module B Certificates as demonstrating the equipment is able to meet the relevant IMO resolutions.

For some categories of Navigation equipment BABT is able to issue US Coast Guard approval.

For Radio Equipment for the US and Canada BABT as a TCB and FCB is able to grant the required Radio Approvals for Marine Radios.
