TÜV SÜD sends all market-ready electric vehicles for practical testing

Electro mobility is stepping up to the plate at TÜV SÜD as the  technical service company launches a one-year series of extensive tests for all electric vehicles currently on the market. The first aspect of the vehicles to undergo testing is their operating range. In the kickoff to the test process, eight vehicles were immediately confronted with their limits of performance in a trip of almost 50 kilometres through the Alpine foothills at temperatures of minus 13 degrees. The preliminary results showed that all vehicles reached their destination. The series of tests is conducted by TÜV SÜD in partnership with the company Next Generation Mobility (NGM), and is designed to enable TÜV SÜD to determine realistic e-vehicle operating ranges for use in NGM's vehicle fleet software.
