The report was published by the Association of German TÜV companies (VdTÜV) in the trade magazine Verkehrsrundschau to mark the IAA Commercial Vehicles exhibition to be held in Hanover from 20 to 27 September 2012. Information about the carbon footprint is now being demanded of many products and services – including transportation services. In Germany as well, there is growing public discourse on the disclosure of CO2 emissions in the logistics sector. In the view of the TÜV SÜD experts though, too little progress has been made in these discussions. Great Britain and France, in contrast, have introduced measures to require companies to submit data on their CO2 footprint next year already. The topic of carbon footprints will be one of the key themes at this year's IAA for commercial vehicles, to be held September 20 to 27 in Hanover, Germany.
