FCC shuts down due to lapse of congressional appropriations

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC); the body which grants approval to manufacturers and suppliers of radio and telecoms equipment wishing to gain access to the US market, has shut down as a result of the two houses of Congress failing to agree on a new budget.

Until the US Government shutdown is resolved, it is expected that TÜV SÜD BABT will be prohibited from giving clients any formal certification until the FCC is again able to issue the required grants.
