Strategy brings influential action which makes big differences- Introduction of new labs in Zhuanqiao

Looking back on the project of TÜV SÜD Shanghai new testing center

THE YEAR OF DRAGON COMES WITH RAISING HOPE. At the beginning of the New Year 2012, laboratories of Central Region, located at Waigaoqiao and Hengtong Road, Shanghai, are sequentially moving to the new testing center at Duhui Road, Minhang District.

Although it is always chilly and rainy in these months, our staffs of Shanghai branch are working together with suppliers and partners, trying every means to achieve the goals by overcoming each of the difficulties occurred in the relocation process. The newly-founded testing center, as the largest comprehensive inspection and testing base among TÜV SÜD Greater China, is just like a newly-built big ship which is ready to leave and sail the ocean.

When we look back, it’s not hard to find that the vigorous development of business has raised higher requirements of lab scale and testing strength. In addition, dispersion of labs may cause potential disadvantages from management perspective. More importantly, the department of product service has brought a new strategy prospectus to the table, which aims to upgrade the commercial testing services targeted at retailers of consumer products. The strategy means that only by kicking off broader services can we lock up the front-runner status in the industry.

Only the stronger party can survive from fierce competitions. Great strategies help the company to grow stronger. Either the competition or the transform needs quick action. In the June, 2011, management committee of central region decisively decided to revise the former planning of testing center, they determined to integrate the laboratory resources in Shanghai as soon as possible in terms of constructing a unified, comprehensive and large-scale new testing center which could better support and further promote the business of TÜV SÜD.
